The Coldest Winter I Ever Spent

October 3rd, 2009

Last week I met a great girl, who is taking her job remote and moving to Mexico. She needed to get to SF for her flight and I was driving down for some shows. So Tuesday we left at 4 for the 10 hour drive. Got in at two and crashed at her parents house. Worked from there the next day and headed to Kai’s house.

BYOB Indian food, yummy! Lamb Biryani and garlic naan FTW!

Steedlord Time!!!

Check out the heart of spades track.

Last time I saw them open up for (and completely blow out of the water) Chromeo. Then go across town and play a DJ set that that dominate all the DJ’s i saw last year.

But this time they were very lack luster. The beats weren’t very awesome and you could tell that the two front members (Kali and A.C. Bananas) were just not feeling it. The crowd was smallish but everybody was still dancing. Overall i was a little disappointed, but admittedly had high expectations.

Carissa, Shane and I had tapas for dinner. It was really good and the bar tender gave us free “birthday shots”, cus she liked us.

Last night we were off to an End of Summer warehouse party with Peter West DJ’ing (one of his tracks is on this fun Whomp Step Mix). It was super fun vibe, right on the water, and also was BYOB.

Today its sneaker shopping on Haight, Bluegrass Festival in Golden Gate Park (crazy good names on there and I think its free) and tonight Auggie and Rob get into town and its Lovevolution.
